Palay has been practicing of law in Ventura County since 1992. A native from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, he worked his way south……After extensive trial work, Mr. Palay became a partner in the law firm of McTague & Palay where he practiced employment law. In 2008, after the retirement of his long-time partner, Mr. Palay opened the Palay Law Firm. The firm handles only the litigation of employment and class-action labor matters. Mr. Palay has been nominated for Ventura County Trial Lawyer of the Year three consecutive years, finally winning the honor in 2007. Mr. Palay has been on the Board of Directors of the Ventura County Bar Association and currently chairs the Ventura County Employment Law Bar. In the last ten years he has been involved and/or supervised over 500 litigation matters or contested administrative hearings. Mr. Palay has been responsible for the largest per-person wage and hour class action recovery in California history. Jenna H. Strauss Jenna H. Strauss has practiced law in Ventura County since 2006 and has been with the Palay Law Firm since January 2008. Ms. Strauss attended Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (J.D. 2006) and Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts (B.A. 2000). Prior to going law school, Ms. Strauss worked as a paralegal in Boston, New York City, and Charlotte. Ms. Strauss is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Barristers. She is also a past member of the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Chapter of the American Heart Association. |
